Genital Warts
Genital warts grow on or around the penis, testicles, vagina and the anus. They are also sometimes found on fingers, inside the mouth or throat. Most genital warts are not sore, but they may be itchy. They may also bleed or become infected (inflamed).
A chemical solution or liquid nitrogen treatment (cryotherapy) is used to stop the warts. Some genital warts may need surgery or laser treatment. Sometimes genital warts need more than one treatment before they are treated. Treatments used for warts on other parts of the body, for example hands or feet, must not be used for genital warts.
